Course Goals

This course has two goals: confidence and communication.

• Students will be able to communicate their thoughts, feelings, needs, wants, ideas, or opinions in English.
• Students will be able to engage in a conversation comfortably and confidently.
• Students will use intonation, rhythm, expressions, idioms, and body language into their speech.
• Students will increase the awareness of different types of conversation patterns and begin to introduce variety in their speech patterns.
• Students will begin to use language creatively and show a complete understanding of the language they are using. Beyond just replicating speech located in their textbooks.
• Students will demonstrate and awareness of phonetics and begin to correct their pronunciation
